Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress as well as producer and director. Her name has been acknowledged for movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. She won several awards including an Oscar for the film Piano. The successful actress began her career as an actor by performing on stage, with an array of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. She has always had an interest in acting from the time when she was in the high school. Her debut role in a production in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. The actress was deaf in one ear following a bout of mumps but did not let this disability dampen her desire to be an actor. As a teenager, Hunter studied drama and eventually moved into New York City. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. When she moved into Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and was offered a supporting role on Swing Shift. Her professional career spans over 30 years and she's appeared in numerous TV shows as well as series and films. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as her Women in Film Lucy Award.
